Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has expressed warm appreciation to the people of Katsina State for the massive turnout at the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections.
The Governor particularly commended stakeholders and members of APC who came out en masse to reaffirm their support and loyalty.
Governor Radda appraised the peaceful, transparent, and orderly conduct of the exercise, noting that the democratic process allowed all members to exercise their franchise freely and without hindrance.
"The peaceful conduct of this exercise reflects the maturity and discipline of our party members across Katsina State," the Governor stated.
The Governor described the affirmation process as a demonstration of the party's commitment to internal democracy and fair representation.
The Governor recalled that the massive turnout at the affirmation exercise reflected the appreciation of the people following the statewide tour he conducted earlier last year and the strong believe in the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
"The people's response today shows that they have seen and felt the impact of our Building Your Future agenda across all communities," the Governor said.
He emphasized that the turnout was a validation of the administration's commitment to inclusive governance and community engagement.
The Governor also extolled the National Assembly and State Assembly candidates who emerged during the primaries. He expressed confidence in their capacity to represent Katsina State effectively at the national and state levels.
Governor Radda particularly commended former Governors Ibrahim Shehu Shema and Aminu Bello Masari for their steadfast support and contributions to the successful conduct of the exercise.
He also praised former Deputy Governors, Ministers, and Members of the National Assembly who graced the occasion and demonstrated unity within the party.
The Governor specially praised Dr. Yakubu Ahmed Maccido, Chairman of the APC Affirmation Committee, for the peaceful and credible conduct of the exercise.
"Dr. Maccido's professionalism and commitment to fair process ensured that the exercise was conducted in strict compliance with party guidelines," Governor Radda noted.
Governor Radda expressed strong confidence that Katsina State will achieve victory in the 2027 general elections and convincingly deliver President Tinubu for another four term. He attributed this confidence to the party's unity, the quality of candidates, and the support of the people.
"With this show of solidarity and the commitment of our candidates, victory in 2027 is assured. We will deliver success for Katsina State at all levels," the Governor affirmed.
The Governor called on all party members, stakeholders, and supporters to sustain the momentum demonstrated at the affirmation exercise. He urged them to intensify mobilization efforts as the party prepares for the general election campaign.
"This is just the beginning. We must now channel this energy into effective campaigns that will bring victory to every polling unit," Governor Radda urged.

GWAGWARE FOUNDATION MOVES TO INSTALL DIGITAL LIBRARY RESOURCES
In another development, the Gwagware Foundation has commenced plans to install and activate its Digital Library Resources aimed at expanding access to knowledge and research materials for youths and scholars across Katsina State.
The initiative followed a detailed presentation made by Dr. Ukashatu to the Chairman of the Gwagware Foundation, Alhaji Yusuf Ali Musawa, and other executive members of the Foundation on the progress of the library’s digital resources and infrastructure.
During the presentation, Dr. Ukashatu also made a donation of books to enrich the Foundation’s library collection, describing the gesture as his contribution toward promoting learning, research, and literacy among the younger generation.
In his remarks, the Chairman, Alh Yusuf Aliyu Musawa , expressed deep appreciation to Dr. Ukashatu for his commitment and support, noting that the digital library project aligns with the Foundation’s vision of empowering communities through education, innovation, and digital inclusion.
The library, when completed, will contain modern digital resources including e-books, journals, research papers, audio-visual materials, open educational resources, and local content archives. It will also feature a user friendly digital platform with advanced search options, secure access, and continuous technical support to ensure smooth operation.
Furthermore, the Digital Library will include historical archives of Katsina State and document the lives and contributions of prominent personalities across the nation, serving as a repository of knowledge and heritage for future generations.
The Digital Library, will serve as a central hub for academic research, digital learning, and youth development under the Foundation’s education advancement agenda.

The Chairman of Gwagware Foundation, Alhaji Yusuf Ali Musawa, has launched a free medical outreach program, including health screening, free medication, and distribution of relief materials to residents of Bugaje, on behalf of the Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, PhD, CON.
Speaking on behalf of the Governor, Alhaji Yusuf Ali Musawa conveyed appreciation and commendation to Alhaji Shafi’i Abdu Bugaje for organizing the humanitarian initiative aimed at easing the challenges faced by the people, particularly the less privileged.
He stated that the Katsina State Government highly appreciates the role of private and community-based organizations in supporting societal development, especially in the healthcare sector. He further emphasized that the administration of Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda remains committed to supporting initiatives that improve the living conditions of ordinary citizens.
During the event, the Chairman of the Foundation also presented a financial support of ?500,000 to Bugaje Quarry Cooperative Society of Nigeria to strengthen their ongoing community support and development activities.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Jibiya Local Government, Hon. Surajo Ado Jibiya, expressed gratitude to the state government and the organizers for choosing Bugaje as the host community for the program. He noted that the intervention came at the right time, especially for vulnerable members of the community in need of accessible healthcare services.

On Friday, 01-05-2026, Gwagware Foundation, under the leadership of Alhaji Yusuf Aliyu Musawa, carried out the distribution of eleven (11) motorcycles to Liaison Officers (LGA Coordinators), along with an additional two (2) motorcycles presented to supporters of the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umar Radda.
Speaking during the presentation, Alhaji Yusuf Aliyu Musawa explained that the motorcycles were donated by the Chairman of Katforex as part of efforts to support these individuals, and by the grace of God, they were officially handed over to the beneficiaries on the day.
Similarly, two other supporters of the Governor—one from Bakori and another from Baure—also received motorcycles from Gwagware Foundation as a gesture of support and encouragement.

GWAGWARE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS 1,500 WOMEN IN MUSAWA AND MATAZU LGAs WITH N15M EMPOWERMENT.
The Gwagware Foundation have empowered 1,500 women across Musawa and Matazu Local Government Areas. The event, which also included the disbursement of scholarships to 2,199 students, by Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmad Dujiman Katsina, Member, House of Representatives Musawa and Matazu Federal Constituency.
Alh Yusuf Ali Musawa, Chairman Gwagware Foundation, explained that the empowerment program is aimed at helping women in rural communities to improve and grow their small businesses. He noted that beneficiaries were selected from each polling unit in the two LGAs to ensure broad representation.
Alh Yusuf Ali further highlighted that the initiative is part of the Foundation's ongoing efforts, inspired and mentored by its Grand Patron, His Excellency Governor Mal Dikko Umar Radda. The Foundation also plans to empower 10,000 women before the 2027 general elections, he said.
In addition to the empowerment program, Alh Yusuf Ali announced that the Gwagware Foundation will also organize a grand endorsement rally in support of Governor Dikko Umar Radda’s continuity 2027.

GWAGWARE FOUNDATION EMPOWERS 1,000 WOMEN SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS IN ZANGO AND BAURE LGAS
The Gwagware Foundation has empowered 1,000 women small business owners in Zango and Baure Local Government Areas of Katsina State.
In his address, the Chairman of the Gwagware Foundation, Alhaji Yusuf Aliyu Musawa, explained that the foundation was established by the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON, even before he assumed office.
“The foundation’s initiatives are designed to support vulnerable groups, especially in rural areas. In 2024, we conducted a similar empowerment programme for 3,000 women in Musawa and Matazu, 1,000 women in Mai’adua, and 2,000 women in Katsina LGA. Today, we are in Rogogo Cidari village of Zango LGA to empower another 1,000 women from Zango and Baure with cash support to boost their small-scale businesses,” he stated.
Alhaji Musawa urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds to improve their livelihoods and support their families.
The Special Guest of Honour, the First Lady of Katsina State, Hajiya Zulaihat Dikko Umaru Radda, reaffirmed her commitment to supporting women through various empowerment initiatives across the state.
She expressed appreciation for the foundation’s continuous efforts, recalling her attendance at similar programmes in Musawa and Matazu last year.
“This initiative is a true service to humanity. I encourage all the beneficiaries to use the support wisely to grow and sustain their businesses,” she said.
In his welcome remarks, the Chairman of Zango Local Government, Hon. Babangida Aliyu Yardaje, thanked Governor Radda for revitalizing the local government system across the state. He also expressed gratitude to the Governor’s Wife for her presence and praised the Gwagware Foundation for its consistent humanitarian service.
Other dignitaries who delivered goodwill messages included the Chairman of Baure Local Government, Hon. Saminu Baure, the Vice Chairman of Gwagware Foundation (Daura Zone), Salisu Kawarin Kudi; and the Executive Secretary of SEMA, Hajiya Binta Dangani, hajiya bilkisu Abdullahi Bakori, among others.
As part of the occasion, the CEO of Gurranty Oil and Gas presented a bull to the Governor’s Wife, while Salisu Kawarin Kudi also presented a ram in her honour.
The event was attended by several notable personalities, including the Wife of the Deputy Governor, the Wife of the Deputy Chief of Staff, local government chairmen, and senior government officials.
